For the second year in a row, Wilderness Kids students, staff, and volunteers will join our friends from the Washington Outdoor Adventures (WOA) Meetup Group, for a fall outing. This year, we will gather on Saturday, November 14 to hike Dickey's Ridge in Shenandoah National Park.​​

WOA is helping Wilderness Kids to build its gear library this year. Often our students do not have the basic gear they need to enjoy a day of hiking, regardless of weather. Rain gear and proper shoes for mud, rock, and slick downhills are often items that Wilderness Kids lends its students. Stay tuned here for the type of gear that our students most need. (We are surveying them now).
