Gather together in the heart of Del Ray at Pat Miller Square on Mt. Vernon Avenue from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday September 27! Enjoy great food all up and down Mt. Vernon Avenue, as well as crafts and face-painting for the kids and games for all (like Cornhole and Ping Pong)! And, all of it in an effort to build community and raise support to get more young people from under-resourced families and under-served communities in our City out into nature. Thanks for coming out for a great day and in support of our work!

The Wilderness Kids Alexandria 3rd Annual Music Festival on September 27, 2026, will feature five local bands playing in the heart of Del Ray at Pat Miller Square. The entire community is invited--Wilderness Kids students and families, donors and volunteers, fans of each band, and even folks who don't yet know about Wilderness Kids or the incredible musicians playing that day. There will be food available for purchase up and down Mt. Vernon Avenue as well as face-painting and crafts for the kids and games for all. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $25, $50 or more. There will be raffles and give-aways too! Funds raised will go toward Wilderness Kids' work providing life-enriching experiences in nature to teens from under-resourced families and under-served communities in Alexandria. The event is currently sponsored by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, James Crowe Realty, the Jen Walker Team, and Monumental Title Company.
