Skill Cohorts
A monthly club for Wilderness Kids Students dedicated to learning, growing, and refining skills in one particular area.
Starting in 8th grade our students have the opportunity to delve a little deeper into one specific skill. Each cohort is a group of students working together in the same program. They progress through the same curriculum and receive certifications and achievements!
Students meet once a month and have the opportunity to gain:
-
Certifications
-
Unique Summer Experiences
-
Job opportunities
-
Improved coordination, and strength
-
Improved teamwork and communication skills
We currently run two cohorts for Wilderness Kids Students in grades 8-12:
-
Our Paddling Cohort meets on the 1st Sunday of every month
-
Our Climbing Cohort meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month
If you are interested in learning more about our cohorts please email Lauren@WildernessKidsAlexandria.org for more information.

In the warmer months students will climb outside at local climbing spots.
